Anybody know why older Metallic series ODSTs are so cheap now?

I feel like I've seen a plethora of the older Metallic drop pods resurfacing online for cheap. Yall think that these toy sites and ebay sellers just don't have much of a market for them anymore or is there any chance they could be fakes?
