Ran a CBC on a baby, PLTs dropped by over 200, so I checked the tube for a clot. Found a tiny clot, called the nurse back to recollect, they usually tell me stuff like "no way it was flowing do good, or that was a good draw". Not this nurse, she told me verbatim " There's is no way that's clotted, I took it out." My brain couldn't comprehend her reasoning. I called the charge nurse she told me "what's the difference if we take it out, or if you guys take it out." They didn't understand what the big deal was.
