Tape for finished rolls of 120? Other tips/tricks?
Post Body

After completing a roll of 120 film what do you all use to tape it secure? Anything special? I’ve been using gaffer’s tape simply because it’s there, but carrying a big roll is kind of a drag when walking around town. Of course I could just get a smaller roll, but if there’s something better suited for the job I’d rather use that!

I’ve been working in photography for almost two decades, but that means that when I got started digital was already in full-on bulldoze mode, and everyone was forecasting the inevitable death of all things analog (included the schools I went to). I’ve only recently been able to get my hands on medium format equipment through work, so I’m still trying to gather little tips that might not be mentioned in manufacturers’ manuals. Any other general tricks you might have would also be genuinely appreciated! Thanks!

Comments

I’ve never not had a roll come with a way of securing it as part of the design, lick strips to stickers I’ve never had to use tape
