Now that I'm in senioritis mode, I've come to the realization that I never made any super close friends in medical school. I have friends I meet at a weekly basis for pub trivia, and whenever I get wind of a party/get together, I always go and have a great time with my classmates.
It's just that I'm on the periphery of enough circles that no particular circle seems to keep me specifically in mind when they make plans. I never really noticed it during most of med school since hanging out wasn't a priority/option, but I'm noticing it now that I have nothing to do and all day to do it. As additional evidence, I have high school and college friends invited to my wedding, but no med school friends.
Does anyone else feel the same way about their experience?
