I'm a 3rd year osteopathic medical student. I recently completed USMLE and COMLEX level/step 1 and am in my 2nd clinical rotation currently. As of now, I'm quite interested in going into emergency medicine. More specifically, I'm interested in an allopathic EM residency. What I'm trying to figure out is, do I take both USMLE step 2 as well as COMLEX level 2 next year? Or do I just take COMLEX? Would it put me at a more significant disadvantage having not taken USMLE step 2 than I am already as a DO trying to enter an allopathic residency? All help appreciated.

P.S. My step 1 board scores are good. Well above the top 1/3 of MDs and DOs.
