Is it legal for my doctors to state I have a medical issue without informing me?
Post Body

Last night I was on my patient portal for my doctors office and in the tab where my health issues are stated was “overweight”. Some background, I am 5’5 150lbs female. I have a history of an eating disorder, and it has been a battle to finally get to a place with my body where I feel healthy. I am at my heaviest, and a year ago I probably weighed somewhere in the realm of 120 lbs. I am aware that I could maybe stand to lose a few pounds and I just got a gym membership for that reason. However I really don’t think I’m that overweight, I know that I’m not skinny, but I didn’t realize I was that big. While I know this isn’t some big underlying issue like high blood pressure or something of that realm, it still makes me uncomfortable that this was stated as a medical issue without me ever being informed. Am I right to be upset about this?
