Hello, my partner has been sick for the past few days, we went to urgent care who referred her to emergency room. After all night in er and a spinal tap they diagnosed her with bacterial meningitis. They didn't say what strand or anything. There are kids under 5 in the household and have been near. Me and my partner have been physical. My main concern at this point is the rest of the family, are we at a major risk? Is it safe for me to go to work? When should I freak out and rush the kids to the ER? I'm a pretty bad hypochondriac and sometimes get phantom symptoms when I think about things but overall I feel fine thus far.
