I'm currently traveling abroad (NL) and my traveler's insurance doesn't kick in until June 1. Yes, I know, dumb move.
So I've been sick as a dog for days, but I've had no fever. It started when I got wet and cold just over a week ago, and then just kept getting worse. For the past 4-5 days, I've been coughing in long fits, sometimes ~20 min. I've also had phlegm coming down from my sinuses down my throat and etc., but that's eased up significantly today.
I've been taking Isla for the throat, as well as bromohexine (?) and spray xylometazolin to be able to breathe out my nose. I've also been taking citrosan/theraflu (paracetamol).
I've been exhausted, and I've been waking up every hour for these long fits. I'm feeling significantly better in most respects, and my voice is back (ish), but the coughing isn't easing up.
TLDR, how worried should I be? It's not like I have something wild like whooping cough, right?
I took a covid test over a week ago and it was negative, but this was just 2 or so after the cold and wet incident, so maybe it's changed since then?
I absolutely cannot afford to go to the doctor without my insurance kicking in.
