Question about an weird reaction to an attempted IV insertion at the ER.
Post Body

He was attempting to go in through a similar spot where I had gotten blood drawn from earlier. I don't like to watch the needle go in, but I'm not necessarily afraid of needles. So he was testing to see if he could flush the vein or whatever so he could push in the medication he needed to give me. As he was pulling and pushing the syringe I started to get really hot, I had trouble breathing, felt really nauseous, and just felt really uncomfortable overall. They took my blood pressure right after and it was really low and the nurse said that I had gotten really pale.

He ended up going in through the other arm and it was all fine then. I was just wondering why my body reacted like that during the first attempt? I felt like I was going to pass out or something. It was really weird.
