51YO M 5"11 275 USA... On Christmas Eve I fractured my rib. I went in for one visit and was told no fracture. Pain was still present after 2 weeks so I went back for another X-ray. This is what they found- A LEFT eighth rib distal most aspect minimally displaced fracture is present. So I was given ibuprofen 800 and Tramadol to take at night for pain so I could sleep. The Ibuprofen helped, the tramadol did nothing. Now I have almost a burning nerve pain in my chest when I move. Is there anything that can be done to ease this BAD pain?
