Just breathed something that might be toxic

I burnt an old pan with oil (left it on the stove for hours because I forgot about it)and the coating burned. The lid was one but when I lifted it it seems that a toxic gaz produced by the coating was released. It was horrible and really sting my nose
Should I worry?
The pan is out of the house, in the garbage and all the windows are wide opened
