Can horizontal lines be caused by excessive walking or bad footwear?
Post Body

Hey everyone. So I noticed today that I have horizontal ridges on all of my toenails but none of my fingernails. I understand that these are possibly “Beau’s lines” and could be indicative of an underlying medical condition but I’m wondering if my job could be causing them. I walk up to 15 miles a day in steep rocky terrain and have been needing to fix or replace my boots. Could the amount of walking or poor footwear be causing the ridges? They are somewhat regularly spaced and are not deep.
