I'm confused

So, I know you're not supposed to take them apart and it makes the test invalid. But I thought I saw a vvfl on a first response. I took it with fmu when I took it apart you can see color. I took another one in the afternoon when I took it apart all you can see is the indent. No color. I also took the clear blue with fmu.
