Did I fuck up with my burn?
Post Body

Hi y'all. I burnt myself at work (kitchen) about a week or so ago, and it's been healing fine. Well, last night I took an edible and went to sleep (I use THC medicinally for pain and insomnia), and this morning I woke up to myself scratching my burn. Before this happened, the spot where I was burnt was red, and I had a small blister in the middle that was at the point where it was flattened out, and mostly dead skin with a little liquid left inside.

I think I must have been scratching it in my sleep throughout the night. But throughout the day today, in addition to it being totally damaged (which you can see in the picture), I noticed a redness around the burn area that's been expanding. I've had a few burns before, this one was a very minor one (I got myself with a ~575°F pan, touched my skin for barely a few seconds), and I've never had redness around it like that. Also, before I accidentally scratched at it last night, I was to the point where I had no pain, but it's really tender to the touch now (including being painful when the fabric of my shirt touches it).

Should I see the urgent care about this? I'm wondering if the redness that's expanding around it might mean I have an infection?

I'm going to be covering it tonight with a bandaid to ensure that this won't happen again, so that I don't make it even worse.
