I've been taking Progesterone to regulate my period first 10 days of the month for 2 months now. The first period I had on it I had excruciating cramping. It was worse than any cramp I've had before. A friend told me, that medication causes contrations and that's why it hurts so bad. I'm 23 so I've had quite a few period and this cramping is like any other and it's off and on. This morning the same cramps but didn't last as long. So my question is, was my friend correct about the statement that Progesterone causes contrations?
I'm definitely going to bring it up next month when I see my OB for my 3 month check up to see how it's doing with helping my period, cause I wasn't warned it could cause bad cramps like this so for sure gonna check with him about it. Thank you 😊
