I just been to the doctor in Thailand who told me he thinks I have a fractured rib.
3 weeks ago I was doing dumbbell rows in the gym and felt a pop/twinge in my left side ribs. The next day I had symptoms of gastritis which I didn’t think was associated with the rib injury. I stopped lifting heavy and started a bland diet to combat the gastritis symptoms.
About a week ago I went back to the gym and was feeling good and also the gastritis had pretty much subsided. I was doing machine rows, and again felt the popping sensation in my ribs again. Then that night the gastritis symptoms were back again and I started to think maybe the trauma was inducing the gastritis.
Gastritis symptoms have pretty much went away but my ribs feel uncomfortable all day, it’s not a sharp pain it’s more like pressure as if someone is pushing their finger in between my ribs.
This morning I was feeling around my ribs and coughed and felt a pop. I went to the doctor and he gave me anti inflammatory meds and told me he thinks it’s fractured rib.
I’m just not too sure as it’s not a sharp pain, it’s just a constant dull pain/pressure.
