Blood drawn before IV placement?

Might be a stupid question, but I don’t want to risk messing up my MRI appts that have been scheduled for a month now — is it ok for me to get some blood drawn the same day (most likely about 4 hours before) I get an IV placed for MRIs I’m having done? I have basically one good vein that they always use to access me — is it a bad idea to have blood drawn from that same spot before I need it for an IV placement or is it fine?
