Has anyone done bariatric surgery? What are your opinions/experiences?

I'm being pressured by multiple providers on my side to do it but I want all the facts before I even make the appointment.
So, if you had the surgery and went through the whole process what was it like? How was healing? What did your before surgery but still in the program and after surgery diet look like while? Do they still do keto? Please give me any opinions good or bad. Thanks in advance
