As the topic mentions, I'm constantly having the flu or infectious diseases and I'm starting to get desperate as this affects my life extremely hard making me very depressed.
Background:
I have a background in bodybuilding and been able to push myself to the limits, even though I was never as good and healthy as many of my competitors. That was 7 years ago. Now 2023 I can't really do any training anymore without getting sick. I've been on many steroids and
I have a condition called allergic asthma. Allergic against many sorts of pollen and mites. Got medication for this (nasal spray, steroid inhaler, antihistamine pills). I know for a fact that people with asthma and allergies do have a reduced immune system.
I'm also trying my best to keep an anti inflammatory diet as I've also got IBS symptoms as soon as I eat anything else than meat, eggs, butter, tallow, liver, and some fruits. And as many of you know, an inflamed gut will affect the lungs directly and cause more asthmatic issues.
The past 12 months I've had about 6 sinus infections. Many of them have been taking more than 4-6 weeks to get rid of. I rinse my sinuses 1-2 times daily which helps a lot. I've also recently been doing a x-ray scan of my sinuses to see whether my sinuses are too narrow and perhaps discuss doing a functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS).
Besides these sinus infections I've also had about 3-4 pretty severe pneumonias, which also been taking 3 weeks to get rid of.
And the time between all these infectious diseases I never really feel great for more than a few days straight before having a sore throat or feeling lethargic.
My C-reactive protein are often quite low even though I've been feeling really sick (less than 10,0) and at one time it was 3,9 even though I felt like ultimate crap.
I'm trying to discuss with my doctor how we can look at these symptoms and find a solution how to strengthen my immune system. I've heard some people mention injections of gammaglobulin.
I've also tried injecting peptides like Thymalin, but didn't notice any change, maybe a bad source.
Of course there are many factors in my life that could have been better such as keeping a strict diet, daily mindfulness, better sleep etc.
But as many of you with similar life situations it's a negative loop system where a disease affects your mental health which sadly affects your habits in a negative way.
Love to hear from you, I'm starting to get desperate here.
Love <3
