I was prescribed Ammonium Lactate Cream to soften the skin on my toe so that they could deal with an ingrown toenail.
I took my first dose of it today, and when I squirted it onto my hand, it gave me an electric shock. It felt similar to a regular electrostatic shock, like touching a metal object after rubbing your socked feet on a carpet, but several times more intense. It had a kick to it.
Is this something I should be concerned about? Or is electric shock a regular part of using this cream? I tried to look online, but I can't find any information about what causes this.
- I neglected to shake the bottle before using. Does this have an impact?
- None of the bottle has any metal from what I can tell. All plastic, and fresh from the bag I got from the pharmacy.
