This is one of concerning freckles on my boyfriends upper back, it looks nothing like his other freckles or moles, I’ve been worried about it being skin cancer for a minute now. He is an electrician, he does work in the sun sometimes and he has never worn sunscreen. I’m forcing him to now. He’s 19

While it does look somewhat irregular, the incidence rates of skin cancer at 19 are very low, the rates increase with age so I wouldn’t worry too much. Just have him get it checked out, if he can get to a dermatologist appointment they can do a full skin check and identify all of the ones that look concerning and even biopsy them right then and there.

I know. I would never dismiss it simply based on looks alone, should still get it checked out. I moreso meant that she shouldn’t worry with no cause for now and that it’s better to get it figured out for sure without being overly anxious about it.
