Ok, it's been that kind of day already and I needed a 12yo boy moment. Sorry, or you're welcome- whichever you find to be appropriate.

I'm trying to lure someone to the mechside, and find my Das w/MX browns is simply not enough (oh, the inadequacy!). Not to be deterred, I availed nearly all of my boards (minus the 2 I just picked up from /u/yeticabra - MINE!) for plunking and testing.

The MX clears were the standouts, with some musing about whether there were any a bit stiffer yet. But the 60% board they're on... also inadequate. Add to that a preference for a backlit kb (parrots are loud when lights are on, so that bit of light is handy), and that my Code w/blues is too loud, and I no longer feel the slightest bit high maintenance. =o)

So...

• Linear or tactile
• 65g(?) or stiffer
• Backlit
• Full size
• Plz to not break the bank (in the event he doesn't love it, I'm all for a stiff switch, but I'm finding 60ish to be my sweet spot, and Topre money is for, well, Topre)

I get that this is a tall order but thought I'd float it in the event that someone else is looking at something like that in the way I am my Code and Kinesis (great boards, not getting the love they deserve). I'm all for in-person meets! I'm not far from Notre Dame, and I'll be at the Chicago meetup.
