Not sure if there are any marine mechanics here. If there’s a better place to post this let me know!
Tried taking the boat out on Friday, got it in the water, put the key in and...nothing. No clicking or engine trying to turn over. I assumed of my kids got in and pushed buttons and had been running something that killed the batter. Got it back home and trickle charges the batteries overnight. I unhooked the charger at about 3am because a storm was coming through and I didn’t want the batteries to get poured on and then by 1pm when the storm passed, the batteries were both dead again. When I hooked up the charger again I noticed the trim motor (what I assume to be the trim motor) making a grinding noise. I’m assuming this is what’s draining the batteries.
If anyone has any ideas, I’d love to hear your thoughts. I’m not mechanically inclined. I can follow instructions to replace parts but determining source of issues is something I’d need help with.
