Avoid Purple Carrot Prepared Meals
Post Body

Just sharing my story, because I'm butthurt about it, lol.

Purple Carrot offers plant-based (vegan) Prepared Meals that you store in the refrigerator and microwave for 2 minutes. You have to order a minimum of 6 meals per box, and each meal is $12.99.

I placed my first order on Sep 15th. The full price was $78, but I paid $43 with a coupon from dealspotr. I was given an expected delivery date of Sep 29th. Instead, the box arrived on Oct 4th (warm/spoiled). This is the part where I should have demanded a refund. Instead, I accepted their offer of a full box credit.

The second box came one day late. 2 meals were delicious, 3 of them were edible, and 1 was disgusting. Later, they informed me that one of my meals had egg in it, and they gave me another full box credit. I should have just left it and moved on, but no... I just had to see if the other meals would taste better.

So, the third box was expected Nov 3, and it never came at all. Cue another full box credit.

The fourth box arrived on time; surprised-pikachu. I haven't gotten to eat the meals yet. However, one of meals was incorrect. Cue a 25% box credit.

And wait, what's this?! While reporting the issue, I noticed a pending box order for undesirable meals, dear god... It was past the skip deadline. But I (politely) held my ground with the Live Chat agent, and she promised a 50% refund back to my card. We'll see if I get it.

Screw that credit and the free box to "share with a friend". Can't wait to cancel.
