So I got cocky making a blackberry mead it’s a pretty basic recipe but I wasn’t using a bucket 🙄and I filled the carbon up with way to much water and even put some extra blackberries in. All around poor choices and I just thought it would never happen to me. Low an behold it did happen. The air lock blew and now my walls are covered in blackberry guts. I dunno exactly when it blew but it was between 2am and 8 am, and I got it all cleaned with a new air lock by about 9am and put some yeast energizer in there since the ferment seems slow or stoped completely. I guess my question is should I just toss it? There wasn’t anything covering the top for that time did contaminants get in there? If fermentation is stalled can I get it to start back up or do I need to add more yeast? I only started brewing this 3 days ago so it hasn’t been long but I’m obviously panicking since I’m a noob🤦♀️
