Add more juice or water to get to 5 gal?
Post Body

Hey all.

I made my second attempt at Mead this year. It's been in primary for about two months and I'm about to rack to secondary.

The question is, my carboy is 5 gal, but my brew bucket was also only 5 gal with about a half of berries, now removed in it. So my question is, based on my recipe here, what would you do?

Also, I was lazy and didn't take a OG reading because my ingredients we're really cold at the start and my honey wouldn't mix, so I don't even know. I'm open to any guesses based on the recipe.

Recipe

12lbs Sweet Clover Honey (from my own hives. Ask me about it, I sell it)

4.5(ish) pounds chokecherries (frozen from last year

1 gal chokecherry juice (also frozen from last year)

About 1.5 gal water

Safale US 05
