Some questions about filtration

Total newcomer here. So my friend and I have started making mead in what I call "Our latest bad idea". We started our second batch on saturday and we decided to try and put a bunch of spices in it.

Now I wanted to filter them out soon but I'm afraid that it would hinder my fermentation. Is there some way to take away the lot of stuff without taking away all of the my yeast?
