Did I mess up?

So this is my first batch of mead(and first time posting on Reddit) I made a blackberry mead and added allspice, cloves, lemon, yeast, natural honey and water. It’s on its third day and it smells a bit strange but a little alcoholic. It’s more like a wine smell. I stir it once a day and it bubbles every 4-7 seconds. I keep it in a dark but cool place and I just don’t know if I’m doing it correctly. If anybody can help and give me tips or tell me if I’m doing it wrong that would be amazing.
