Some things I liked about Rev17, or, Ramblings of a Bored Dilettante
Post Body

I had a great time this rev, and I'm excited for 18. These are my confessions:

  • I loved how many people traveled around to other cities and areas this rev. The elytra certainly facilitated that, but huge credit to /u/Narissis for his TRAVEL network. That and the parts of Carbon that worked were great. Also, overland rails best rails.
  • On a related note, I thought the portal placements were on point.
  • The terrain was pretty awesome. Mountains, crazy trees, a volcano, oceans - good stuff. I'm excited for the tree-contest progeny in Rev18. I did cringe a little every time I cut down a tree in Bamf, knowing I couldn't easily just replant it. But that led to Beta and me being much more thoughtful about build placement and terrain modification, and our builds were definitely better for it.
  • I liked the diversity of builds, towns, and projects.

Okay, that's all.
