Since the most recent release 8 days ago, construction has been underway on the Phase 4 bridge across the southeastern ocean. That project is still ongoing, with completion expected several days from now.
In the meantime, there is one new piece of TRAVEL-related infrastructure now open for public use: an express rail connection from TRAVEL Avalon Station to the main Avalon city rail station, constructed by Avalon's rail consortium and accessible via a second platform located below concourse level at the TRAVEL station.
A second entrance has also been added to Viridian Heights Station with a short road connection to Ironstar.
Please note: the Phase 5 route shown on this map is highly preliminary and will definitely change. Modifications may prove minor or significant, and will be determined when detailed route mapping begins following the opening of Phase 4.
Public Advisories:
- As the large bridge is still under construction, there are significant falling hazards (and approach spans are not yet installed). Nerdizens are advised to cross this ocean using the CARBON road and rail located to the north, until approaches are complete and barriers are raised for horse safety.
Future Expansions:
Phase 5: This long-distance phase will entail the extension of the TRAVEL Yellow Line from its present northern terminus to the cities of the N.E.A. Construction will involve significant tunneled segments as well as standard elevated lines, and an as-yet-undetermined number of new stations.
Subsequent Phases: Detailed plans for further expansion will be made upon the completion of Phases 4-5. Future expansion will likely include the addition of a western line serving some or all of the following communities: Hyrule, Two Lips, Blackriver, Rose, Puggleston, Metal Mountains, and Pico.
Special Call for Donations:
Update: Thanks to the generous contributions of Metal Mountains and Sybercity, the need for netherbrick has been quickly met! At this time there are no pressing material shortages.
