Post Body

Millennia Systems Inc. is pleased to announce the official opening of the Phase 2 segment of the TRAVEL Yellow Line, extending from Spawn West Station through a total of four new stations, including the new terminus at Solace-Whiteoak Station!

The updated TRAVEL route map, showing the existing line and immediate construction plans, can be viewed here.

New Stations:

  • Yasnovgorod: Named for the nearest settlement, this station is nestled against the base of a small mountain.

  • Gov's Farm: This station is adjacent to a very large wheat farm and village. A second platform located beneath the concourse level provides access to local rail westbound to the farm or eastbound to Solace.

  • Brom: Perched high atop statuesque buildings in the heart of Brom, this station features a modified layout integrated with local architecture.

  • Solace-Whiteoak: Situated on the shared border between its namesake cities, this station provides access to an End Portal as well as a commanding view of... wait, is that a giant hamburger?

Public Advisories:

  • Construction of Brom Station is still underway. The area is safe as long as riders observe the wayfinding and warning signs posted on and around the platform. Failure to observe signage may result in lethal falling damage. Under no circumstances should riders exit their carts within the construction area except at the designated platform.
  • Automatic cart forwarding is not active for eastbound traffic at Solace-Whiteoak Station as this station is presently the final one on the line. However, carts will still be forwarded if they are lingering on the launch platform when another rider arrives, and the manual launch does function. Riders departing Solace-Whiteoak Station eastbound will continue on to the end of the constructed viaduct, where a service exit has been installed from the tunnel under construction. This maintenance area also contains a micro-platform for departures only, and provides surface access to a roadway.
  • Automatic cart forwarding will remain disabled, as it has been, at Spawn East Station until the completion of Phase 3 (see below).
  • All other stations have automatic cart forwarding in operation for both directions of travel.
  • Please note that not all stations are served by roads at the present time. Nerdizens living near stations are more than welcome to build roadways to the designated station entrances. Municipalities or individuals wishing to construct local rail transfers are advised to contact Narissis directly, either in-game or on Reddit, to discuss adding a second platform to their local station.

Future Expansions:

  • Phase 3: Preliminary construction and right-of-way designation has already been undertaken for this phase, which will extend the southern end of the Yellow Line from Spawn East Station to Avalon Station. Work on this segment, containing two new stations, will go into full swing this weekend.

  • Phase 4: This expansion will see construction of the largest single piece of infrastructure in the TRAVEL system: a massive bridge embarking from the eastern shore of Avalon to cross the large ocean. The as-yet-unnamed bridge will carry the TRAVEL Yellow Line as well as a four-metre-wide horse-safe roadway. A TRAVEL station at the far end of the bridge on the large remote island is the planned terminus for the Yellow Line, though a loopback extension to Sybercity is a possibility.

  • Phase 5: This long-distance phase will entail the extension of the TRAVEL Yellow Line from its present northern terminus to the cities of the N.E.A. Construction will involve significant tunneled segments as well as standard elevated lines, and an as-yet-undetermined number of new stations.

  • Subsequent Phases: Detailed plans for further expansion will be made upon the completion of Phases 3-5. Future expansion will likely include the addition of a second western line serving some or all of the following communities: Hyrule, Two Lips, Blackriver, Rose, Puggleston, Metal Mountains, and Pico.
