Hello all!
I'm pleased to report that all of the existing noRTh infrastructure is relatively complete. There are a few minor details left, such as adding worktables and brewing stands to the station concourses, and a bit of cosmetic reconfiguration of the maintenance access/platform designs... but it's pretty well good to go.
Anyone want to have an official grand opening party? :P
Here is my Official System Map, which includes both of my rail systems (noRTh and Northshore Express) as well as their direct connections and the Bromspring Viaduct between them. As you can see, there is now rail spanning nearly the full breadth of the North! This represents the full layout of noRTh Phase 1. (As an interesting point of comparison, this was my original concept for noRTh. Interesting how plans evolve!)
Within the week, I anticipate beginning construction of noRTh Phase 2, which entails extension of the Red Line to its next Westbound station, and construction of the Yellow Line, which will extend to the Creeper Grinder. After that, Phase 3 will be the completion of the Red Line to Northshore, followed by a more detailed fitting-out of all the detail work that I've left alone so far.
If I still have my sanity at that point, I will undertake a Phase 4 plan, which will see the Yellow Line extended southward and the Red Line extended East from Nova Argoth to the edge of the map.
I do have two weeks off work starting next week, however, today is the launch day for a TERA expansion that I very much want to play through, so I'm uncertain whether I'll actually be building more during that time period. I'll play it by ear. :)
At any rate, I look forward to connecting more communities in the near future and I want to give a big shout-out and thank you to everybody who has donated materials to the noRTh project so far! You all rock.
