Nether rail for revision 10
Post Body
Since our designated nether transport player seems to have disappeared on us, let's all get together and work on some nether rail for super-fast transport on our server! I vote we start with a portal loop, a square that stops at all the portals. This would be convenient for most trips around the server. Rail to spawn can be added later.
- I'm not a creative designer type; I dabble but after a while it hurts my head. If anyone has any suggestions or wants to change things up, please, let's hear them. I have started with white wool as as the base, and plan to have some coloured wool in between the tracks for decoration.
- In the case where the rail hangs over a short drop, I plan to put some pillars. Pillars over large drops or lava doesn't seem worth it to me, but if anyone wants to tackle this, be my guest.
- I'd like it if the rail went through as few changes in direction or height as possible. I prefer straight rail to snaky rail. This is tempered by my desire to avoid moving vast quantities of rack and have the rail be somewhat scenic.
EDIT: I've started with the south stretch, Seneca -> Ise -> Pico. Anyone care to help out?
