What is up with the Red Line lately?

The other day, it took me nearly an hour to go from Park Street to Braintree. It used to be a 30-minute ride.
The ride between North Quincy and JFK is painfully slow, especially inbound in the AM.
Even the ride on the lower end between Braintree and Quincy Center is getting bad.
I know everything is falling apart, but this is even worse than it has been in the last couple years. Does anyone know what’s up?
