Old bus route 700

I got stuck down a rabbit hole in NE Transit History’s MBTA service changes and had forgotten that the 700 ran from Lowell… all the way into Boston. And as a local.
Later it was cut back to Burlington once Lowell stopped contracting with the T for local service, but still.
Did anyone ever ride this beast end to end? I’m guessing drivers must’ve hated this run.
