Lynn ferry
Post Body
Now that we’re halfway through the planned Sumner closure, what’s Lynn ferry ridership like? I feel like the Globe reported recently that it’s not bad.
The T plans to increase the fare to $7 each way, post-Labor Day. Most Lynn residents can’t afford it. And the commuter rail station is closed. How about letting riders with a Zone 2 monthly pass ride for free? Even better would be keeping the fare at $2.40, but that’s asking for some forward thought out of a transit agency that hasn’t shown any in a while. Maybe the Lynn posse on Beacon Hill will push for something.
Edit: Just realized a $7 fare is the same as Zone 2 CR (which Lynn is). So silly me.
