Can you upgrade your windshield?

I have a 2018 cx-5. Got nailed with a huge Rock and I need a new windshield. While I am at it, I'm looking into getting the best I can. Whether OEM or aftermarket, what can a driver do to upgrade the windshield in terms of resilience, thermal shielding, anything?
