Full synthetic oil change necessary? (MS3)

Getting my first oil change as an MS3 owner and I've heard that full synthetic isn't necessary but I figured it would be very highly recommended. I'm not completely torn about it cuz it would make for a cheaper option but I wanted to make sure before I went with a blend.
