I'm not a US citizen, but being on this subreddit for a while kind of begs a question: do people in the states perceive Mazda as a Lexus competitor, or is it just some people think of it as a pre-Lexus step? How do people generally perceive Mazda cars in the states? Is it cooler to have one over a Toyota for example? Thank you for your opinion!
I'd put Mazda closer to Acura than Lexus. I came from an MDX and haven't looked back. Lexus is another tier above. Of course this is all subjective and some may claim I'm completely wrong, but that's my experience with both brands.
