My mazda cx30 is my second car after my high school/college 2003 corolla that i had for 6 years. I leased my cx30 after i graduated college april 2021 since it seemed like the best idea since i didnt really know what car I wanted and it was just me and my dog.

I have absolutely loved my cx30 for the past 3 years but I know I want the cx5 after test driving it and dealing with the frustration of not having space for enough gear in my 30. I also sometimes sleep in the back of my 30 and I think the 5 will just be even more perfect.

I’m unsure if i should lease again a cx5 or if i should buy a cx5. I was adamant about buying my next car but my mom is encouraging me to lease again. I wanted to buy my cx5 since I felt very comfortable with the cx30 but the cx5 seems perfect.

Currently heres my knowledge as to why i should lease or buy (its a short list):

buy: - you own your car/keep it - i don’t need to worry about milage so much (i like to drive a lot. i put about 12k miles/year on my current mazda cx30) - i should probably buy a 2021 used cx5 with like 30k ish miles on it

lease: - lower monthly payments (still paying a lot for student loans right now) - in 3 years if i decide its unfit for me I can get another car (my mom mentioned i’m 25 just me and my dog now but i might want a “mom” car later)

I don’t really know which is the better investment for me personally. Any knowledge or recommendations will be helpful! Sorry if my post is kinda messy i’m new to this stuff and my support system isnt the most knowledgeable.
