Post Body

An automatic transmission bearing in my 2013 Mazda 3 with 150k miles has started to fail, it makes like an electric motor sounding whirring noise. It's not super loud but you can definitely hear it on the highway.

It's not yet affecting the function of the transmission, it shifts fine, but the mechanic says it will likely just keep getting worse.

It will be around $3500 CAD to have a used transmission put in. I'm not sure if it's worth it or if I should just try and sell the car as is for what I can and move on?
