Hi everyone!

First things first… i don’t know shit about cars :,( I would really love to know more though, so general know-how and advice is greatly appreciated.

Anyway, I recently bought this Mazda CX-7 2010 for 3k, it was in good condition and only had around 80k miles… it did come with some quirks though, the passenger door felt a little off when closing it and when registering it i figured out that it had been totaled in 2021 and it had some rusting in a few parts under the car but not too concerning. Had one of the headlights replaced as well.

Either way, it was a car that ran and it was good enough for me! Gets me where I need to go. Now, i really want it to last me a long time… so I would really appreciate if anyone who knows what they’re talking about could let me know anything I could invest in for this specific car to make it last a long while, or things I should really keep an eye on when it comes to maintenance. Any advice would be super helpful! 🙏

Along with any mechanical(?) advice, I would really appreciate some advice in regards to the exterior— I want my car to look nice, as nice as I can get it lol. I have a good amount of small dents and scratches all over my car.. what would be a good way to go about it if I wanted the exterior to look “brand new” and whatnot? Other than that, if anyone knows anything about interior mods and whatnot that could go well with/in this car please let me know… Im planning on replacing the stereo with a touch screen system with carplay and whatnot but that’s all I’ve been looking into when it comes to mods.

If anyone has any advice on how to beef up this car to last me a long time and make it feel and look nice please let me know LOL i’m more than willing to invest into something like this since it’s my first car.
