Hi guys,
I am taking a communication systems course and there are heaps of fourier transforms. However, since I haven't done fourier transforms, discrete fourier transforms, and fast fourier transforms, and discrete fast fourier transforms for some years now, I am struggling with the course because I forgot these concepts.
I understand that these transforms are to go from time to frequency and from frequency to time domain. However, why can't we just stick with one domain?
To add, why would we use the inverse of these transforms?
Could some one explain the concept to me and why we use it and how to apply it?
