The format of match is really how online dating should be. That’s where my positive reviews end. … match still sucks. When searching by “activity” it’s common to see women “active” yet we when I check on those same women having sent them likes or messages during that active status, later, they are no longer active, ….ever again.

This means to me they signed up (which is free to do) but they chose not to pay. My issue with this is that their profiles are still listed but they’re not active members and they cannot read your match message or follow up to your contact. Worse yet, match uses your contact to try to lure these people into paying for their service by sending them an email message to their personal email saying “someone is interested you.” I didn’t sign up for match to be marketing tool. I mean just my own, anyway.

…because these practices appear to be prevalent I have concluded match is basically deceptive and manipulative and without much integrity.

I have also received or experienced other suspect practices or situations from match. For instance I get messages in my match message center, from match, offering a match making service for additional money. “Ummmmmm…. isn’t that what this already is?” When I interacted with this message I was clearly talking to a bot programmed to appreR as a human. …hey Match why don’t you try improving your service instead of tricking people all day long? Match’s days are numbered.
