Why is Sangan used in Invoked Dogmatika Shaddoll decks?

I've been running IDS since launched and have gotten plat 1 with it two seasons in a row and out of curiosity looked at Duel Masters Meta to see what other people ran and to my surprise, I noticed a lot of people running Sangan. At first, I was thrilled thinking that I can just normal Sangan into Almirage to search Ecclesia and do a full combo, but then I noticed that Sangan negates the effects of anything it searches. Now, I'm just left here wondering why people even use it. What am I missing?
