Asari extinction
Post Body

Greetings,

This has probably been thought of before.

Whilst recently replaying Mass Effect 3, with Javik for the first time, I thought of something.
Since the Asari can mate with ANY species, wouldn't it be next to impossible for the reapers to exterminate them?
If an asari could be held in stasis for 50,000 years like the prothean, she could repopulate the entire Asari population by herself, by mating with one of the then present sentient species, and share the knowledge of the reapers.
Otherwise, if they could not put an asari in stasis, one asari could fly to a distant world, away from all civilization, possibly a world with a pre-spaceflight civilization like the Yahg (although the Yahg do not present the best option, but I'm sure more exist) and live there and mate amongst those to create more Asari.

Would it even be possible for the Reapers to COMPLETLY eliminate every last asari, since a single asari could eventually repopulate the univers?

EDIT:
Also on why it won't work with other species:
If you have 2 humans left (you already must have two, oposed to one asari) you will get incest in the next generation and generations after that, it will cause a large amount of genetic defects which will eventually make it impossible to further exist. Since Asari randomize genetic material using other species, and they can mate with anyone, genetic variation and incest would not pose a problem.
