The only Mass Effect game I've played is the 3rd one and I don't think I finished it. I enjoyed it but I was stuck on Skyrim around that time. I'm wondering if I should get the Lengendary Edition on PC and play them all. I'm not to be super invested in the lore, I'm just in the mood for some good gameplay, in a space setting. Should I just get Mass Effect 2 and 3, since those are the "classics," or is it worth it to have the 1st and Andromeda also? I'm only worried about not enjoying the first one because of how old it is and I've heard Andromeda just isn't the same game.
Note: The Witcher 3 is my favorite game of all time and I've never played the first 2 in that series, so it isn't necessary for me to play a whole series to enjoy 1 or 2 games in a series.
EDIT: I really appreciate everyone's feedback. I decided to buy the Legendary Edition and so far I'm enjoying ME1. I'm actually really impressed by how good it looks and I'm already hooked into the plot. Gameply isn't much different, at it's core, than how I remember ME3. It is more nuanced than I expected so I'm very pleased overall. Thanks again!
