Something that bugged the hell out of me when Mass Effect 3 came out was how it ignored one of the most major plot points of Mass Effect 1: The Conduit.

What happened to it? It was a backdoor onto the Citadel. When they needed to get back to that place, why didn't Shepard bring it up?

I get they were rushed during production and were focused on getting the product out the door, but that always felt like a huge oversight to to me
