Hey reddit. I have an appointment for my first professional massage today. My job is extremely labor intensive, so I’d really like to ideally help relieve back pain. I understand the benefits of massage as well as the relaxation it provides. But I can’t help but feel anxious that the masseuse will be judging me internally. I shower daily and I’m not unhygienic or anything. I guess I just feel weird about someone I don’t know touching my body. Is this normal? How should I overcome this to make a relaxing experience less stressful?
