I’m a student in an LMT training program prepping for my MBLEX, and I was recently (gently) advised that the sooner I can figure out a more long-term goal for specialization within the field, the more I will benefit from my training program because there are at least 5 or 6 different specializations represented across my program’s instructors, and they’d like to help teach/modify their teaching to adapt to the students’ specific goals, when possible.
Do you have any resources listing the different modalities, or other LMT-adjacent careers (like branching into sports massage) that may require a bit more specific certs/licensure but still closely involve massage? I have some interest, but I’d like to know what’s already out there for me to consider aiming towards, or just for me to go ahead and start learning more about.
